Textbooks for community schools in the district are expected to reach the district headquarters, Phungling, by Chaitra 15. The Federation of Book and Stationery Entrepreneurs, Taplejung, is preparing to immediately deposit money at the Janak Education and Materials Center and deliver the textbooks by Chaitra 15, informed the federation's district president, Keshav Prasad Bhattarai.

According to him, an advance deposit of Rs 70 to 8 million is required to bring books to Taplejung. 'We have been collecting money and depositing it at Janak Education and selling it to raise money,' Bhattarai said, 'We also do not get any surplus from Janak Education and do not give any surplus to the school.'

All stationery entrepreneurs in Taplejung have been selling jointly. He said that stationery entrepreneurs started selling jointly a decade ago after facing problems in collecting money and going over the surplus when selling alone.

Community schools provide textbooks for grades 3, 5, and 6 to 10 through Janak Shiksha. The remaining grades have to be purchased from private sources. The local level provides funds to each school based on the number of students.

The school purchases and transports them with the same amount. Since the school is a 3-day journey from the district headquarters, Phungling, advance preparations must be made. Some schools also bring books from Panchthar and Tehthum.
