Less than 50 percent of the voter turnout in the House of Representatives elections held on Thursday was recorded in Panchthar. Out of 143,408 people in the district, only 71,100 voted.

91 people voted in the temporary polling center of District Jail Panchthar. 21 prisoners and 70 employees voted here, said Polling Officer Shailendra Kumar Singh. According to him, all the prisoners who voted are men. On the staff side, 68 men and 2 women voted.
