58 percent of the votes were cast in Sunsari-1 under the election for members of the House of Representatives. On Thursday The voting that began from 7 am to 5 pm was completed peacefully, informed Election Officer Divyaraj Ghimire. According to him, voting was conducted in an enthusiastic and orderly manner at all polling stations.
According to Officer Ghimire, there were no major obstacles or unpleasant incidents during the voting. He said that the overall voting process was conducted peacefully and orderly.
Sunsari-1 constituency includes all 20 wards of Dharan Sub-metropolitan City, wards 1 to 5 of Barahakshetra Municipality, and wards 6 and 7 of Ramdhuni Municipality. There are a total of 150,393 voters in Constituency No. 1. Out of them, 87,865 people voted. Of which 47,718 women and 40,147 men voted.
For the election of members of the House of Representatives, 41 polling stations and 161 polling stations were designated in this area. Various schools, community buildings and public places were used as voting centers.

Similarly, Ujjaya Nepal Party candidate Gentle Lawati also voted. He said that he was voting for himself for the first time and considered it an important moment of democratic practice.
Similarly, CPN (UML) candidate Tikaram Manglen voted from Panchayat Secondary School polling station in Dharan-10. Nepal Communist Party candidate Surya Bahadur Bhattarai cast his vote from Panchakanya Secondary School in Dharan-17. Similarly, Nepali Congress candidate Sujendra Gole Tamang and Nepal Workers and Peasants Party candidate Mahesh Shrestha reached the polling station and exercised their franchise.
According to the Election Commission, necessary security arrangements were made at all polling stations. Nepal Police, Armed Police Force and Temporary Police were mobilized to make the voting safe and orderly. It is said that the voting process was completed smoothly in coordination with the security agencies.
According to Sunsari Chief District Officer Basudev Ghimire, counting of votes will begin from Friday.
Assistant Election Officer Bed Prasad Sapkota said that the ballot boxes were collected and kept safe after the voting was completed. According to him, ballot boxes have arrived from all polling stations in Barahakshetra, Ramdhuni Municipality and Dharan. The counting of votes will take place at the assembly hall in Dharan-8.
