For the counting of votes under the House of Representatives election, necessary preparations have been made at the community building in Ward No. 5 of Dhankuta Municipality. The counting of votes will be done sitting on the floor.

CCTV cameras have been installed at the counting site, alternative electricity system through generators and inverters, and alternative lights have been installed. According to Chief Electoral Officer Harishchandra Innam, arrangements have been made to ensure that the counting process can continue even if there is any disruption in the power supply.

A wire mesh fence has been installed around the inner part of the building to make the counting process safe and orderly. It is stated that security personnel will be deployed at the entrance to restrict the entry of unauthorized persons. Innam said that separate places will be designated for candidate representatives, observers, and media personnel in the counting room.

The Office of the Chief Electoral Officer has stated that the management work including a safe room for keeping ballot boxes, adequate lighting, drinking water, and toilet facilities has been completed.

He said that there will be a security cordon of the Armed Forces, Nepal Police and Election Security Police in coordination with security agencies to control the crowd around the counting site.

According to the Election Commission's guidelines, an all-party meeting will be held before the counting begins and the counting procedure will be clarified. Ingnam said that regular updates will be made through the official notice board and media when the vote results are made public.
