Dharan Sub-metropolitan City Ward No. 4 Ward Chairman Dhan Bahadur Rai has resigned from his post. He submitted his resignation letter to Dharan Acting Mayor Aindra Bikram Begha on Friday.

Dhan Bahadur Rai was elected as the chairman of Ward 4 from the CPN-UML in the 2079 BS local level elections. He was recommended for action by the district committee for supporting the then mayor Sampang's Shramdan campaign against the UML's instructions. Former people's representative Shiva Bantawa Rai and other leaders also joined the party along with Dhan Bahadur in the meeting.
Chairman Sampang welcomed them to the party and urged them to do good work.
