The District Administration Office, Panchthar, has urged employees working in all bodies in the district not to make indiscriminate comments about the employees assigned to the upcoming House of Representatives elections and their responsibilities.
The administration office has urged employees not to do so, saying that employees have made indiscriminate comments on social media regarding the responsibilities given to them in the elections. The attention letter signed by Chief District Officer Basudev Dahal states that it is against discipline for government employees, teachers and school employees to make public complaints about mismatched positions and ranks, imbalanced work, etc. through social media.
The administration has also urged those who have disagreements or complaints on such matters to inform the concerned body in writing or orally. It is mentioned that even if there may be minor errors in the context of the elections, exaggerating them and posting, sharing, liking or commenting on a public platform will obstruct the process of conducting the elections.
It has been warned that action will be taken according to the prevailing law if they engage in activities that violate the code of conduct. Citing the Election Code of Conduct 2082, all employees have been instructed to follow the guidelines issued by the Election Commission of Nepal.
The district administration has urged all parties to be responsible for conducting the election in a fair, dignified and peaceful environment. In addition, special requests have been made not to misuse social media and to maintain official conduct and discipline.
