An elderly woman has died after being hit by a falling stone while repairing a road in Halesi Tuwachung Municipality. A JCB located in Dalphu, Chhyasmitar, of the municipality-3, hit a falling stone while repairing a road on Thursday, killing 71-year-old Bal Bahadur Rai of Radhakhola.
The JCB and its driver, 26-year-old Kewal Magar of Udayapur Tapli Rural Municipality-2, have been taken under control, said Police Inspector Sushant Mishra, Information Officer at the District Police Office, Khotang. Mishra said the body has been sent to Ghopa, Dharan for postmortem.
