The Office of the Chief Electoral Officer issued a notice on Thursday, finalizing the staff to be deployed at polling stations. The same number of employees will be deployed at 166 polling stations and two temporary polling stations in the district.
Chief Electoral Officer Harishchandra Innam said that six employees have been deployed at most polling stations and three at temporary polling stations. However, only two assistant employees have been deployed at centers with less than 300 voters.
One polling officer, assistant polling officer and assistant employee along with one office assistant will be deployed at each polling station, said District Election Office Information Officer Suraj Shrestha.
Similarly, Shrestha said that three employees have been deployed at temporary polling stations, including a polling officer, assistant polling officer and assistant employee. The staff deployed at polling stations will appoint two volunteers at centers with less than 500 voters and three volunteers at centers with more than that number of voters. No volunteers will be appointed at the temporary polling stations. It is said that preparations are underway to organize training for the election staff this week. The election staff will be provided with service facilities in geographically remote and remote areas.
