A person died on the spot in a motorcycle accident on the inner road section of Lakchhaundanda in Silichong Rural Municipality-2.

On Saturday, a motorcycle (number plate 02-046 Pa 2467) travelling from Beteni to Balagaun in Bagmati Province lost control and fell off the road, said Sankhuwasabha DSP Kumar Prasad Mainali. The motorcycle was being driven by Akash Rai, aged 22, a resident of Kamletar, Salpasilicho Rural Municipality-1, Bhojpur. In the accident, Prem Kumar Rai, aged 56, a resident of Beteni, Sankhuwasabha, and currently living in Kamletar, Salpasilicho-1, Bhojpur, fell about 50 meters and died on the spot, DSP Mainali said. 

Police have taken the motorcycle driver into custody.
