More than 23,000 patients have sought health services at the District Ayurveda Health Center, which was established 96 years ago, in a single year.

In the past year, 23,670 people have received various services at the District Ayurveda Health Center, said Dr. Vidya Shrestha. She said that the highest number of stomach-related patients have received treatment under the OPD service. Similarly, treatment has been provided for bone and joint diseases, addiction, mental illness, skin, jaundice, diabetes, high blood pressure, obesity, and stones.

The Ayurveda dispensary established in 1986 BS and then again after the Koshi Zonal Ayurveda dispensary, has recently been renamed and is now converted into an Ayurveda Health Center. The center has stated that blood, stool, urine, etc. are being tested in the laboratory at the Ayurveda Center using various state-of-the-art equipment.

Of which, 250 people have undergone yoga practice, 260 people have undergone medical camps, 3,123 people have undergone OPD services, and 2,502 have undergone pre-natal services. Similarly, 82 people have taken Panchakarma service, 526 people have taken the initiative service, 101 people have taken the senior citizen service, 1,013 people have taken the yoga service, 512 people have taken the pathology service and 14,560 people have taken the citizen health service.

According to Dr. Shrestha, the center has also been distributing free medicines for 23 different diseases. Similarly, the service is also being operated through the Ayurveda Health Center in Dhankuta, the Ayurveda Dispensary in Pakhribas, the Citizen Health Service Center in Mahalaxmi Municipality, the Health Service Center in Chaibise Rural Municipality, and the Health Service Centers in Chhintang, Shrestha said.
