A fire broke out at the house of local Lok Bahadur Shrestha in Charagaun, Dhankuta Municipality-4, on Thursday morning.

According to the District Police Office, Dhankuta, a fire broke out at around 9:40 am in a one-story house and kitchen made of tin roof and stone-clay.

As soon as the news of the fire was received, a team of 15 police officers from the District Police Office, 15 security personnel from the Armed Police Force Nepal, and two fire engines from Dhankuta Municipality reached the spot and are trying to control the fire, said Dhankuta SP Sarat Kumar Thapa Chhetri.

Police said that no human or livestock were injured in the fire. Full details of other injuries are yet to be received. 

Police have informed that an investigation is underway into the cause of the fire.
