An elderly man was injured in a sharp weapon attack in Panchkhapan Municipality-8 of the district. He was attacked while sitting in his own house.
According to the police, 45-year-old Lakpa Ongdi Sherpa, currently residing in Panchkhapan Municipality-8 of Sankhuwasabha Chainpur Municipality-2 Pokhari, attacked 74-year-old Ningma Sherpa with a sharp weapon (bambok), injured him and fled, said Deputy Superintendent of Police Kumar Prasad Mainali.
A 5-member police team under the command of Police Constable Ramesh Subedi from the temporary police post Bhartiwal Danda and Police Inspector Sundar Kumar Yadav from the Area Police Office Bana was immediately deployed to the scene. The District Police Office and subordinate police teams have also been mobilized to search for the accused.
The police have said that efforts are being made to send the injured Ningma Sherpa to the Basic Hospital Bana for treatment. According to the initial treatment details, the injured person has injuries to his cheek and nose. The incident is about 17 kilometers east of the temporary police post Bhartiwal Danda.
