A woman has been arrested with 144 grams and 400 milligrams of brown sugar, a narcotic substance, from Bhadrapur Airport in Jhapa.
On Monday evening, a police team deployed at the airport security guard found drugs in the possession of a woman who was traveling from Bhadrapur to Kathmandu during a routine check.
The arrested person is 26-year-old Roshni Budha, a resident of Kharpunath Rural Municipality-2 in Humla.
According to the police, Budha was caught trying to smuggle brown sugar.
The District Police Office, Jhapa, has stated that further investigation is underway regarding the incident.
