Nepal Communist Party United has expressed support for independent candidate Dr. Devraj Roka (Kalyan) from Udayapur constituency number 1. The party, which participated in the election, has fielded candidates in other districts but has not nominated its candidate in Udayapur, the party said in a statement.
The party has decided to participate in the entire election program, from campaigning to ensuring Dr. Roka's victory, as he has been involved in Marxist political movements for a long time, the statement said.
The party has appealed to voters to vote for its candidate Kul Bahadur Basnet in the proportional representation election. The party's district coordinator Yadav Pokharel said that the party is against corruption and injustice, and supports intellectuals as they are in favor of transparency and national unity.
