The sixth convention of the Nepal Astrology Council, Dhankuta, has elected a new working committee under the leadership of Saroj Ghimire. The convention held on Friday elected a nine-member working committee under the chairmanship of Ghimire unopposed.

The vice-chairmen of the council are Kul Prasad Timsina and Jaya Bahadur Tamang, secretary Peshal Dahal, joint-secretary Saurabh Pokharel, and treasurer Srijana Adhikari. 

The members are Deepak Dahal, Sanjeev Pokharel, and Sudarshan Ghimire. The newly elected working committee was administered the oath of office and secrecy by the election committee and council Koshi Province secretary Kamal Niraula.

It is stated that the council will work with an official license to solve the problems seen in the astrological system and society. Ambika Prasad Adhikari, member of the Astrology Council Koshi Province, has decided to provide three aanas of land free of charge in Adhikari Tole, Dhankuta Municipality-4, for the construction of a building for the Astrology Council Dhankuta.
