Nepal Communist Party (UML) Sankhuwasabha has intensified preparations to conduct a strong election campaign across the district, targeting the upcoming House of Representatives elections to be held on Falgun 21.
According to the party's district committee chairman Khadga Bahadur Rai, a 1,01-member campaign committee has been formed at the district level. The information was given at a press conference on Wednesday.
In Sankhuwasabha, which has 10 local levels, UML has formed 501-member election mobilization committees in large municipalities and 301-member election mobilization committees in small municipalities, Chairman Rai informed. Through these committees, door-to-door and public relations campaigns will be conducted at the ward, tole and settlement levels, said Kiran Kumar Shakya, a member of the district committee secretariat of Arjun Kumar Karki, a candidate for the post of member of the House of Representatives.
The party has clarified that all work related to the preparation and distribution of campaign materials, use of vehicles and other management will be carried out in full compliance with the election code of conduct. Chairman Rai has also made public the campaign schedule from Magh 15 to Falgun 2.
