Nikesh Raj Dahal has been elected as the president of Bahundangi JCs in Jhapa for the year 2026. In a special ceremony organized on Wednesday, the president of the year 2025, Nityanand Chamlagain, formally handed over the leadership to Dahal by handing over the post.
The chief guest of the handover ceremony held at the local community building was Koshi Province MP Gopal Tamang. The special guest was former mayor of Mechinagar, Bimal Acharya.
Speakers on behalf of the former presidents expressed their best wishes to the new leadership and their hope to make the organization's activities more effective.
Sandesh Poudel and Vidyut Giri have been elected as the executive vice-presidents of JCs. Roman Bikram Karki, Durga Bhandari, Suraj Devkota and Pratima Rijal were elected as vice-presidents. Newton Karki was elected as the general secretary and Sushma Mishra as the treasurer. Kaushal Upreti was selected as the legal advisor.
