The 'Chivas Eastern Golf Tournament-2026' is to be organized in partnership with the Koshi Province Golf Association and Chivas Regal.

The tournament, which will be held for two days on Magh 16 and 17 at the Dharan-based golf course, will see the participation of more than 120 amateur golfers, including women, men and veterans, the organizers have stated.

Koshi Province Golf Association President Suyesh Pyakurel said that the association is committed to the long-term development of golf and informed that the tournament is being organized with the aim of promoting and developing the potential of golf in eastern Nepal.

The association, which has been promoting golf since its inception, has been providing a competitive platform and development opportunities to both amateur and professional players, and expressed confidence that this tournament will play an additional role in showcasing the talents of the players.

Chivas Regal, the main partner of the tournament, has continuously supported Kathmandu-centric premium golf tournaments in the past years and has now collaborated with the Koshi Province Golf Association with the aim of promoting golf in areas outside the capital as well.

Chivas Regal Country Business Development Manager Saurabh Bhattarai recalled Chivas Regal's long-standing relationship with golf in Nepal and said that the collaboration was aimed at making a meaningful contribution to the development and popularity of golf in the eastern region. He clarified that the expansion of golf outside Kathmandu will be a major priority in the coming days.

The hospitality partner of the tournament is the recently opened Hotel Ramada on Pashupati Marg, Itahari, while Dharan Golf Club is the co-organizer.
