Dhankuta's DJ Sporting Club has won the title of the 47th Hangthum Cup football tournament.

In the final match held at Mulkharka, Madi Municipality-3, on Saturday, DYC defeated India's Dudhe Sporting Darjeeling 3-1 to become the champion.

Sandeep Limbu scored a goal in the 17th minute for the team, which had been aggressive since the beginning of the game. Then, less than 10 minutes later, Yugan Rai scored the second goal in the 27th minute to further strengthen the team's hold. In the 48th minute of the second half, Yugan Rai again scored his second personal goal and the team's third goal, almost securing the title.

Nayan Pradhan scored a goal in the 64th minute for Dudhe Sporting Darjeeling, but he could not change the result of the game.

The winner of the competition, in which 8 teams from Nepal and India participated, was awarded a cash prize of Rs 242,000. Runner-up Dudhe Sporting Darjeeling settled for Rs 121,000.
