Fifteen parties have registered nominations for members of the House of Representatives in Panchthar, which has only one constituency.
Here, Nepali Congress, CPN-UML, Nepali Communist Party, National Independent Party, National Parivartan Party, National Prajatantra Party, Mongol National Organization, Janmukti Party, Janata Samajwadi Party, Progressive Democratic Party, Federal Democratic National Forum, National Mukti Party, CPN (Maoist), Nepal Workers and Peasants Party and Shram Sanskriti Party have registered their candidacies.
This time, the Congress has nominated central member Narendra Kumar Kerung as its candidate. Congress leaders and activists, including outgoing central joint general secretary Bhishma Raj Angdembe and district president Rupnarayan Javegu, reached the office of the Chief Electoral Officer and registered their candidacies.
Similarly, central member Aindra Sundar Nembang has become a candidate from the UML. The Nepali Communist Party has fielded Provincial Committee Chairman Harka Bahadur Nembang (MIXO), while Mahendra Bikram Thamsuhang from the National Swatantra Party and Hastraj Serma from the Labor Culture Party have been nominated.
Similarly, Tej Kumar Kurumbang from the Rastriya Prajatantra Party, Tek Bahadur Limbu from the National Change Party, and Ram Kumar Tumrok from the Mongol National Organization have been nominated, said Chief Electoral Officer Kumar Maskey.
Similarly, Laxhuman Gurung from the Nepal Workers and Peasants Party, Bhanu Fiak from the Democratic National Forum, Narendra Kumar Kurumbang from the Janmukti Party, Machindra Begha from the Janata Samajwadi Party, Mitra Lingden from the National Progressive Alliance, Prakash Kafle from the Progressive Democratic Party, and Vijay Nembang from the CPN (Maoist) have been nominated, according to the Office of the Chief Electoral Officer.
No independent candidates have been nominated in the district. Similarly, no woman has filed her candidacy.
