The office of the Chief Electoral Officer was formally established in Khandbari on Friday for the upcoming elections to be held on Falgun 21.

Chief Electoral Officer Rajkumar Koirala inaugurated the office and said that the entire process would be carried out as per the Election Commission's schedule.

He assured that the election would be fearless, free and fair, adding that the cooperation of political parties, security agencies, media persons and the general public is indispensable for that.

Chief District Officer Sirjana Thapaliya informed about the overall preparations for election security and mentioned that necessary discussions have been completed with the political parties in the district. She said that the administration is fully committed to conducting a peaceful and safe election.

With the establishment of the office, the election atmosphere has increased in Sankhuwasabha. Voters have also expressed their expectations for a fair election.
