The driver was injured in an excavator accident in Fakumba, Maiwakhola Rural Municipality-6 on Thursday.

The driver, Maniraj Gurung, a resident of Dudhpokhari Rural Municipality-1 in Lamjung, was injured in the accident, said Rural Municipality Chairman Bijay Prakash Vanem. 

The excavator accident occurred on Thursday while working at the under-construction Kang Hydropower here. The machine fell into the river while working on the headbox of the project.  The driver, Gurung, who was injured in the accident, has been taken to the district hospital for treatment.
