Lalit Kumar Rai has been re-elected as the chairman of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) Khotang. Rai was unanimously elected as the district chairman for the second time at the third district convention held on Wednesday.

Sumitra Rai has been elected as the senior vice-chairperson of the district working committee, Indra Bahadur Rai and Chandra Budhathoki as vice-chairpersons, Minuhang Rai and Ganga Shrestha as secretaries, Baburam Karki as joint secretary, and Tika Khatri as treasurer. 

Chairman Rai said that the district coordination committee held a session at the review hall of Khotang and unanimously elected a 19-member district working committee.

Rai said that the regional conference held on Tuesday elected a 13-member regional committee under the chairmanship of Shiva Kumar Bhattarai in Constituent Assembly No. 1 (1) and an 11-member regional committee under the chairmanship of Binod Basnet in Constituent Assembly No. 2 (2). 

RPP central member and Constituent Assembly member Arjun Kumar Rai administered the oath of office and secrecy to the office bearers of the district and regional committees.
