A new team led by Pradeep Sunuwar from the Nepali Congress is joining the government.
The cabinet is set to be reshuffled in Koshi Province. Chief Minister Hikmat Kumar Karki is set to reshuffle the ministers after the ruling UML and Congress reached an agreement to reshuffle the ministers.
According to the provincial chief's office, the new ministers will be sworn in at 4:30 pm on Tuesday. Provincial chief Parashuram Khapung will administer the oath to the new ministers. A new team led by Pradeep Sunuwar from the Nepali Congress is joining the government. Sunuwar and Israel Mansuri from the establishment side, Bhim Parajuli from the Krishna Sitaula side and Man Bahadur Limbu from the Shekhar Koirala side are likely to become ministers. According to sources, the responsibility of the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure for Sunuwar, Tourism for Parajuli, Health for Limbu and Industry, Agriculture and Cooperatives for Mansuri has been finalized. Congress whip Shobha Chemjong will become the Minister of State. Chief Minister Karki is also preparing to dismiss all the old ministers from the UML and bring in a new team. Bidur Lingthep, Niran Rai, Indramani Parajuli, Tilchan Pathak, Gyanendra Subedi and Ram Prasad Mahato are becoming ministers from UML.
Parajuli from Dhankuta has been given the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Lingthep from Sankhuwasabha has been given the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Planning, and Pathak from Jhapa has been given the Ministry of Drinking Water and Energy. Ram Prasad Mahato from Sunsari has been given the responsibility of the Ministry of Social Development. Uml's Umakant Gautam is being appointed as the Minister of State for Internal Affairs and Law.
