A person has died after being electrocuted in Mangsima village of Makalu Rural Municipality-5. On Tuesday morning, a person carrying a heavy load was found dead after being electrocuted after an electric wire snapped near Simli River in Makalu-5, Mangsima, said Police Inspector Dhan Bahadur Rajbanshi, spokesperson of the District Police Office.

A local from Mangsima had informed the police after seeing the body around 11:30 am while walking on the road. It is believed that the death may have been caused by electrocution from a wire that fell from an electric pole. Locals said that the deceased was Amar Bahadur Rai from Mangsima.

The incident site is a day's walk from the Area Police Office, Hedangna. Police said that further investigation into the incident is underway.
