A concert was held on the occasion of the 15th anniversary of the Matrubhumi Band and the Mantra Band's 'Ho Ma Nepali Tour' on November 2.
Rajdeep Maden, treasurer of Ngawarak Sanjumbo, said that 3.7 million 4 thousand rupees were collected from the tickets sold for the live concert of the Matrubhumi Band and the Mantra Band for the construction of a community building at Machhapokhari in Phungling, organized by Ngawarak Sanjumbo. Of this, 1.8 million 89 thousand 700 rupees have been spent.
The details of the expenditure were made public through a press conference at the district headquarters Phungling. Maden informed that 5 lakh 68 thousand 500 rupees have been committed by various individuals and organizations. Once this amount is also raised, the savings will reach 1.8 million 14 thousand.
The concert was organized with the aim of purchasing land for the construction of a community building. Treasurer Maden said that the land purchase amount has been reached and now the construction work of the building will proceed. Organizers have said that after the construction of the building, it will be easier to conduct social, cultural programs and sports activities within the Phungling Municipality.
