Training in playing the Naumati, Chhyabrung, and Dhol dancing, as well as Dhaka weaving, has been started for women in Phidim Municipality-2.
The ward is going to provide training to women to make them self-reliant along with transferring traditional skills and preserving originality, said Ward Chairman Dinanath Adhikari.
The training on Naumati, Chhyabrung and Dhol will last for 15 days, and Dhaka weaving for 2 months, according to the ward office.
Only women are participating in the Naumati and Dhaka weaving training. Both men and women are participating in the Dhol and Chhyabrung training. The ward office has stated that more than 80 trainees are participating in all the trainings.
