A man in Udaipur has killed his wife and attempted suicide.
30-year-old Khagendra Rai of Belka Municipality-3, Kirat Chowk, murdered his 27-year-old wife Ganga Rai on Sunday morning.
After Khagendra stabbed Ganga and seriously injured her during a domestic dispute, her relatives took her to the BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences for treatment. Upon reaching the hospital, doctors declared Ganga dead, said DSP Kedarman Dong, Information Officer of the District Police, Udayapur.
After killing his wife, Khagendra seriously injured himself by stabbing himself. Relatives took Khagendra to the hospital after seeing him attempt suicide.
He is currently undergoing treatment at the BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences, Dharan.
