The Armed Police Force has launched a simultaneous East-West Flag March from Mechi Bridge, the country's far eastern border, and Gaddachauki, Kanchanpur, the far western border.

On the occasion of the 25th founding day and silver jubilee of the Armed Police Force, the Armed Police Force launched the East-West Flag March from the eastern and western borders of the country on Sunday.

According to SP Tul Bahadur Bhandari of Armed Police Force No. 2 Battalion, Jhapa, a team of 35 Armed Police Force personnel is heading towards Morang from Mechi Bridge with the flags of the Armed Police Force and the country with the moon and sun.

Upon reaching the Jhapa-Morang border, they will hand over the flag to the Armed Police Force team in Morang.

The march has also started from Gaddachauki in Kanchanpur, the border of the Far West, on Sunday itself. It is said that the team that left from East Mechi and the team that came from West Gaddachauki will meet at Thori in Chitwan and the flag march campaign will be concluded.
