An Indian national has been arrested with illegal cash from the eastern border checkpoint of Kakarbhitta. A joint team of the Customs Office and the Armed Police Force arrested an Indian national with 630,000 Indian rupees at the passenger branch of the Mechi Customs Office on Tuesday afternoon.

The arrested person is Lomsang Falchowk, 62, a resident of Khasa Panchayat, Tawang District, Arunachal Pradesh, India. The Armed Police Force has stated that he was taken into custody while he was coming from India to Nepal.

When the bag he was carrying was checked, the Armed Police Force had recovered 3,800 Indian rupees of 100 denomination, 1,000 Indian rupees of 200 denomination and 100 Indian rupees of 500 denomination, totaling 630,000 rupees.

It is said that he has been handed over to the Revenue Investigation Office, Itahari, along with the Indian rupees, for necessary action.
