At the health camp held in Buipa, 216 patients from Buipa, Vijayakharka, Rajapani, Nunthala, Bijule, and others underwent health checkups.
Fifteen people tested positive for cervical VIA at a women's reproductive health camp held in Diktel Rupakot Majhuwagadhi Municipality-14 Buipa. Out of 180 people tested at the camp held on Wednesday, 15 were found to have the problem.
According to the municipality's health department chief, Khemraj Acharya, since the thermocoagulation test was positive, they have been called to Shir Memorial Hospital in Banepa for further tests as there is a possibility of cervical cancer.
Similarly, 62 people have been found to have problems with vaginal discharge in the camp. Of these, 22 have been fitted with a ring pessary and 9 others have been called to Banepa as they need surgery, Acharya said. The patients who need surgery will be taken to Banepa by the end of Poush. Their treatment will be free of charge.
