As the cold weather has worsened in recent days, schools in Mechinagar have been given a three-day holiday.

According to Homanath Bhandari, the head of the municipal education department, the school holiday has been granted from Wednesday, Poush 16 to Friday, Poush 18.

It is said that the current holiday will be combined with the winter holiday that will be granted later. According to Bhandari, the decision to dismiss the school has been made after complaints from most schools that teaching and learning has been difficult due to the increasing cold.

The minimum temperature in Jhapa has been measured as low as 15 degrees even in the afternoon for the past few days.
