Khel Prasad Budhakhetri 'Parag', who lost to CPN-UML candidate Yogesh Bhattarai by 208 votes in the 2079 BS House of Representatives elections, is set to become a candidate again. The Nepali Communist Party has unanimously recommended his name.

The first meeting held on Friday after the merger of the Maoists, CPN-S and other parties decided to recommend Parag as a single name directly and to recommend it together for the proportional and National Assembly.

On the proportional side, Ramchandra (RC) of the then Unified Socialist Party (PSU) Pomu has been recommended as a tribal candidate, Dawa Tshering Sherpa (Bishalu) of the Maoists as a minority candidate, Asim Limbu (Jenji) of the CSU and Kalpana Tumbahamphe of the CSU have been recommended as female candidates.

Netra Nepali of the CSU has been recommended as a Dalit candidate for the National Assembly, and Parshuram Karki of the CSU has been recommended as a female candidate, informed Bishnu Kumar Hangwang (Biru) of the Nepali Communist Party.

Since the organizational structure of the parties has not been received from the center, the leaders have said that the meeting is being held with activities such as the leader of one party presiding, the one from another party conducting the program, the one from another party delivering the welcome speech, and the chief guest.
