A worker from Dailekh working at the Tamor Five Hydropower Project located at Pipal Chowk, Faktanglung Rural Municipality-6, Taplejung has died. A worker from Bardiya has been injured.

The deceased has been identified as Bhadra Bahadur Shahi of Gurans Rural Municipality-3 in Dailekh, informed Deputy Superintendent of Police Bed Prasad Gautam of the District Police Office. Shahi, who was seriously injured after being hit by a stone, was brought to the Tapethok Basic Treatment Center. However, Gautam said that the doctor informed him that he had already died.

Akash Khadka of Madhuban Municipality-4 in Bardiya, who was injured after being hit by a stone during the construction of the tunnel, is undergoing treatment at the District Hospital Taplejung. He was brought to the District Hospital after receiving general treatment at Tapethok. 

The Police Office has stated that Shahi's body will be handed over to the family after a post-mortem at the District Hospital. The Police Office has stated that a team led by Police Inspector Ashish Pokharel has been mobilized from the District Police Office Taplejung to study the incident site and conduct legal proceedings.
