A meeting held in Khotang on Friday, attended by party leaders from the central, provincial and district levels, recommended seven names for direct elections, 10 for proportional representation, and one for the National Assembly.
The Nepali Communist Party (NCP) Khotang has recommended the names of candidates for the House of Representatives and the National Assembly.

According to provincial member Suresh Rai, the names of Tanka Rai, Dewan Chamling, Pratik Karki, Bhim Rai, Ram Kumar Rai, Shambhu Ghimire and Hari Roka have been recommended for direct elections.
Similarly, the names of Tankanath Tamang, Tejmaya Rai, Devraj Rai, Durgajayanti Rai, Parshu Bishwakarma, Milan Shrestha, Ramila Gurung, Shubha Lal Rai, Samita Karki and Harishchandra Giri have been recommended for the proportional representation.
Rai said that Kul Prasad Phuyal's name was unanimously recommended for the National Assembly.
