540 cadets have been inducted into the second phase of the NCC Junior Division training conducted at the Eastern Training School of the Nepal Army's National Service Corps. They were inducted on Thursday at a ceremony organized at the Eastern Training School in Morang, Kerabari.
The National Service Dal East School has announced the successful completion of their training and distributed awards and certificates to the best. Thirty cadets from each school participated in the training. Of these, 15 were male and 15 were female.
In the three-week training, Cadet Sumnima Limbu of the Army Residential College emerged as the best female student, while Cadet Ayush Rai of Pashupati English Boarding School Itahari was awarded the best male student. Out of the 18 participating schools, Adhikari Boarding School of Sindhuli was awarded the best platoon. The convocation ceremony and the parade were saluted by Lieutenant Gaurav Kumar KC, Commander of the Eastern Division Headquarters of the Nepal Army, Itahari. Speaking at the convocation ceremony after the salute, Lieutenant KC directed the cadets to work with the spirit of national unity. The cadets performed Khukuri drills, Taekwondo drills and dances at the event.
The Nepal Army has been conducting National Service Corps training with students studying in various government and private schools across the country. Under this, senior division training is conducted for students of higher secondary schools and junior division training is conducted for students of secondary schools.
