Two nominated leaders of the Shram Sanskriti Party have been suspended in the space of five days. The party's central vice-chairman Mitra Pariyar was suspended on Monday, while the party suspended central vice-chairman Devraj Lama last Wednesday after he was arrested on charges of involvement in an old bomb blast incident.

Dharan Sub-metropolitan City Mayor and party chairman Hark Sampang issued a statement on Monday, informing that Pariyar has been suspended from his post. The statement has revealed two reasons for suspending Vice President Pariyar.

The first reason is that he made an indecent public statement against the organizer of the general meeting held in Butbal on 5th of February, violating the code of conduct, and the second reason is that he used offensive and insulting words against District Co-Coordinator Keshav Neupane at the same general meeting, the statement states.

Since there are no leaders or cadres in the Labor Culture Party, and since all are labor donors, if someone says 'I am from the central committee' and behaves in a manner that insults the affiliated members, similar action will be taken, the statement made public by Chairman Sampang also states.

According to party spokesperson Satya Ghale Gurung, the central committee meeting held in Kathmandu in the last week of November decided to nominate Pariyar as vice president. He said that the party had taken action against Pariyar after he was nominated as the vice-chairman while speaking at a general meeting held in Butwal, saying that he had spoken against the party and had also insulted the organizing team.

At the general meeting held in Butwal on December 20, Vice-chairman Pariyar had expressed his anger by saying that the organizers had made a mistake in the schedule, saying, "I should be allowed to speak, I am the central vice-chairman, and my attention should not be diverted to the end."
