Mandeep Rai, 55, of Udayapur Limchingbung Rural Municipality-6, who is serving a prison sentence for arson and murder, was arrested on Sunday from Mansir, Tuwachung Municipality-11, Rajapani.
He was arrested at 8:30 pm by a team deployed from the temporary police post in Rajapani while he was hiding, said Police Inspector Sushant Mishra, Information Officer at the District Police Office, Khotang. Mishra also said that Rai was handed over to the Khotang Prison at 8 am on Monday. 'He was arrested around 8:30 pm last night and handed over to the Khotang Prison at 8 am today,' Mishra said.
