One person has died in Khotang due to an assault. Local Padam Rokka, 58, died on Sunday morning after being beaten up by Dil Kumar Bhujel, 50, of Nirmalidanda Singane, Diktel Rupakot, Majhuwagadhi Municipality-9.
According to Nirmalidanda Ward Chairman Dinesh Kathayat, Bhujel was drunk and beat up Roka around 11 am on Sunday, causing his death on the spot.
Information Officer Sushant Mishra of the District Police Office, Khotang, informed that Bhujel was taken into custody and brought to Diktel.
