A gas gun that was looted from the Area Police Office, Damak, during the Gen-G protest on Bhadra 24 has been found on the banks of the Geuria River near Dhanprasad Road in Kamal Rural Municipality-5, Jhapa.

Based on a special tip-off, a police team deployed from the Area Police Office, Damak, recovered a gas gun bearing the number 238169 from the spot. According to the police, the gas gun, along with its butt and barrel, was found in a rusty and burnt condition.

According to police records, the weapon found was looted from the Area Police Office, Damak during the Genji movement on Bhadra 24, 2082. The district police has stated that the weapon found was duly recovered and brought to the Area Police Office, Damak.

Police say that further investigation into the incident is ongoing. According to police sources, the search and investigation into other weapons lost during the movement has also been intensified.
