A 26-year-old youth has died after a loaded gun exploded in Sanghu Lekuwa, Maiwakhola Rural Municipality-3. According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Bed Prasad Gautam, the local resident Renji Sherpa was found dead.

Gautam informed that he was found dead in the cardamom orchard of Tilok Singh Limbu based on the information given by Ward Chairman Khagendra Singh Thaklung.

His nephew Sonam Sherpa, who was with him, told the police that the gun suddenly exploded while he was loading ammunition and hit the deceased in the neck and he collapsed on the spot. Gautam said that 18-year-old Sonam has been taken into police custody for necessary investigation.

A team led by Police Assistant Inspector Pradeep Kumar Madhuvan and Police Inspector Deepak Limbu from the Area Police Office Dobhan for legal procedures and investigation has been deployed to the spot and necessary investigation process has been initiated, the Police Office has stated.
