Two youths died in a motorcycle accident in Birtamod, Jhapa on Saturday evening. The District Police Office, Jhapa, has stated that two people died in the accident that occurred near Giribandhu T-State in Birtamod Municipality-6 along the East-West Highway.
A motorcycle (number 5 May 6222) coming from Char Ali towards Birtamod lost control and crashed, seriously injuring 25-year-old Bhupal Adhikari, a resident of Bhadrapur Municipality-5, and a man aged 25-26, whose name has not been released yet. Both the injured were taken to B&C Hospital in Birtamod for immediate treatment, where doctors declared both of them dead at 6:15 pm.
According to the police, the bodies of both the deceased are currently kept in the morgue of the same hospital. The motorcycle that was involved in the accident has been taken under control and kept at the Area Police Office Anarmani, while further investigation into the incident is underway, according to the police.
