7.549 million offerings collected in Pathibhara in the month of Mangsir alone

In the Pathibhara region, offerings worth Rs 7.549 million have been collected in the month of Mangsir alone. According to the Pathibhara Area Development Committee, only 19,181 pilgrims have come this month.

The collected amount was deposited in Nepal Bank Limited in eight installments, informed Prajin Hangbang, Executive Director of Pathibhara Area Development Committee. 

This is an increase of Rs 3.5 million compared to the same month last year. In the month of Mangsir last year, Rs 4.117 million was collected and 21,180 people visited the Pathibhara temple.

It is customary for employees to collect the money offered from the upper foot of Pathibhara to the temple. The collected amount is brought to the temporary police post at the upper foot. From there, it is carried by people to Kaflepati and from Kaflepati to the district headquarters, Phungling, in a vehicle. 

The amount is counted at the office of the Area Development Committee in the District Coordination Committee. The counted amount will be deposited in the bank as per the convenience, informed Information Officer Santosh Purkoti.
