Meanwhile, one person died in an elephant attack in Sundarharaincha Municipality-12 of Morang on Saturday morning. The deceased is 60-year-old Bhavkrishna Ghimire, a resident of Sundarharaincha Sangam Tole. Ghimire was on his way to sell milk when the elephant attacked him at 5 am. He died on the spot, local mediaperson Krishna Chandra Subedi informed.
According to locals, after attacking Ghimire, the herd of elephants headed towards the nearby Charkose forest to the north.
