Halesi Tuwachung Municipality has decided to construct earthquake-resistant houses for poor families. The 136th executive meeting of the municipality decided to construct earthquake-resistant houses for three poor families.

According to Halesi Tuwachung Municipality spokesperson Kamal Giri, the 136th Municipal Executive meeting held on Mangsir 20 decided to build a house for the family of Sarita Sarki and Bir Bahadur Sarki of Municipality-10 Arkhaule.

Their 12-year-old daughter Tara Sarki was found hanging in the house of Ram Hingmang of Bamram, Majhuwagadhi-3, Diktel Rupakot on July 29.

Similarly, Giri said that it has been decided to build earthquake-resistant houses for Bhaya Damai of Municipality-6 Mangalatar and Deshbir Rai of Ward No.-2, Dikuwa. Giri informed that these three poor families were provided with Rs 15,000 each in cash and food items four months ago.

‘It has been decided to build houses for 3 poor families from Arkhaule, Mangaltar and Dikuwa,’ said Giri. ‘We provided them with 15,000 rupees in cash and food items 4 months ago.’
