This year's Tanka Prasad-Ramadevi Pathak Journalism Award has been presented to Jhapa-based journalist Chiranjeevi Ghimire. Ghimire is the Jhapa correspondent for Naya Patrika.

Press Council Nepal Chairman Kumar Sharma Acharya presented the award of Rs 50,555 to Ghimire at a program organized in Birtamod on Tuesday on the occasion of International Anti-Corruption Day.
The award, which was not distributed last year, was jointly presented to Jhapa journalists Surendra Bhandari and Indu Purveli (Gautam) at the same program. Similarly, journalists Jyotsna Shrestha and Ranjita Khadka were presented with Rs 5,000 each for their writing scholarship against gender violence.
