Neuro Hospital Biratnagar has started a collaboration with Amrita Hospital in Faridabad, Haryana, India.
In collaboration with Amrita Hospital, a Continuous Medical Education (CME) program on Neurology (Head and Nerves) and Pulmonology (Lungs and Asthma) was completed on Friday.
This is the first such high-level program in Koshi and Madhesh Pradesh, said Rajesh Bhattarai, the hospital's operations director, at a press conference on Saturday. Amrita Hospital's senior neurologist Dr. Sanjay Pandey, senior neurosurgeon Dr. Saurabh Pahuja Pahuja and other specialist doctors provided services.
An expert team from India shared training and experience on topics such as stroke, head and spine diseases, epilepsy, neurological effects seen in the lungs. According to the hospital, the 2,600-bed Amrita Hospital located in the Delhi NCR region of India is known for its world-class treatment. It currently has more than 500 ICU and CCU beds, including organ transplants with state-of-the-art technology, and robotic surgery services.
A free OPD camp was also organized on Saturday. This collaboration between the two hospitals will strengthen neurological treatment in Koshi-Madhesh Province, said Dr. Birendra Kumar Bista, founder and senior neurologist of the hospital.
