Police have arrested a prisoner who escaped from Jhumka Prison while he was hiding at home.
A police team deployed from the Area Police Office, Jhiljhile, arrested 45-year-old Dambar Bahadur Magar, alias Shambhu Magar, of Shermatole, Shivasatakshi Municipality-11, Jhapa, on Friday.
He had escaped from Jhumka Prison on Bhadra 24 during the Gen-G movement. The police had intensified the search after Magar, who was serving a prison sentence for manslaughter, absconded.
According to the police, Magar was arrested while hiding at home and is being prepared to be sent back to Jhumka Prison, Sunsari, with the necessary procedures.
