A fire has broken out in Sablakhu Bhanjyang Bazaar, the center of Sidingwa Rural Municipality in Taplejung district. Locals are trying to bring the fire under control, which started at the house of local Laxmi Tamang.

Local Omensa Rai informed that there is a risk of moving from one house to another as there are connected houses. The center of the rural municipality is here, with about two dozen houses. It is also the commercial center of the east.

Locals have said that the rural municipality building is also at risk as it is next to the market. The cause of the fire has not been revealed.
