Five people have been arrested for buying and selling banned drugs. Panchthar police have arrested five people, including 27-year-old Dhanraj Tumbapo, with 10 grams and 52 milligrams of brown heroin from Samdin, Phidim Municipality-2.

Based on a confidential tip-off that Tumbapo was dealing in drugs, a police team arrested him and four others who had come to buy the drugs, said Anish Kumar Karna, Chief of the District Police Office, Panchthar.

The Panchthar District Court has extended the remand of the arrested persons for 10 days and started an investigation, the Panchthar Police said.
